Cookbooks for Homemade Gifts
Homemade food gifts are a wonderful way to show you care, and our Library has a wealth of cookbooks to help you create something special. From cookie recipes to jams, chutneys, and artisanal breads, you’ll find culinary inspiration that will delight your friends and family. If you want to explore international flavors or make health-conscious treats, there’s a cookbook waiting for you on the shelves.
Books as Gifts
One of the most timeless and thoughtful gifts is a good book. Be sure to stop by the Friends of Bozeman Public Library’s used bookstore, located under the east stairway at the Library. Here you can find gently used books at a fraction of the cost. And mark your calendars for their used book sale happening November 2 and 3 at the Library.
Make Unique Gifts in the Library’s Work Bench
The Bozeman Public Library offers access to cutting-edge technology in the makerspace, the Work Bench. Equipped with a 3D printer, laser cutter, embroidery machine, and sewing machines, you can craft truly unique, personalized gifts. Here are a few ideas for what you can create:
3D Printer: Design and print custom ornaments, figurines, jewelry, or even practical items like phone stands and keychains. The possibilities are endless, and with free access to design software, you can tailor each gift to the recipient’s tastes.
Laser Cutter: Create personalized wooden coasters, intricate holiday decorations, custom keychains, jewelry, and more. The laser cutter allows you to etch detailed designs onto materials like wood, acrylic, or even leather, making your gifts personal with a professional finish.
Embroidery Machine: Add a personal touch to fabric gifts like towels, tote bags, or even holiday stockings. You can embroider names, initials, or seasonal designs, turning a simple item into a thoughtful, customized gift.
Patrons must receive a Work Bench card on equipment in order to reserve time on Work Bench equipment. Click HERE to learn more and start creating!
