The Heart of Bozeman: Your Support Makes Our Library Extraordinary

It’s been said that you can tell what’s important to a community by visiting their public library. In Bozeman, it’s clear that education, creativity, and connection matter deeply. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have committed $443,000 in 2025 to fund programs and resources that bring these values to life. From inspiring a love of reading to fostering lifelong learning and meaningful discussions, our Library is a reflection of what this community cares about—and your support makes it all possible.

While public funding covers essential needs like staffing, supplies, and utilities, it’s your generosity that allows the Library to go above and beyond. Your contributions make it possible to offer innovative programs, engaging events, and dynamic resources that strengthen our community.

Here’s a look at just a few of the things you’re making possible:

Books & Authors: This exciting new series will bring award-winning writers like Jamie Harrison, Tom McGuane, Diane Wilson, and Chris Barton to our community, sparking inspiration and conversation.

SymBozium Returns: After a hiatus, our popular civil discourse series is back! This fall, we’ll explore artificial intelligence and its implications for society.

Free Summer Lunch: Rising property values caused the Library to lose eligibility for federally funded free lunches. As a result, in 2024 fewer children participated in summer reading, and HRDC served fewer meals citywide. To fill the gap, we’re stepping in to provide 3,300 meals this summer—ensuring no child goes hungry at the Library.

Outdoor Music Garden: We’re adding durable outdoor percussion instruments to create a vibrant, inclusive space where music can bring people of all ages together. After needed irrigation repairs, we hope to complete the garden in 2025.

Your generosity makes all of this possible. THANK YOU for believing in the power of public libraries and for helping ours thrive!
