Art has a home at the Bozeman Public Library, where rotating exhibits bring color, culture, and creativity to the community. Art in the Atrium brings local artists into the spotlight, offering the community a chance to appreciate and purchase art at accessible prices while also supporting the Library.
The Atrium Gallery showcases rotating monthly exhibits featuring a diverse range of artistic mediums. Next time you visit, take a moment to explore the latest exhibit, discover a new favorite artist, and maybe even take home a piece of local art—then, of course, don’t forget to grab your books!
Stop by the library this October to see “Autumn in Bozeman,” our Art in the Atrium exhibit featuring local artist Bonnie Watton. Through needle-felted wool on fabric, Bonnie captures the many faces of fall in our town, from changing plants and wildlife to the community events that make the season special.
Bonnie works in many mediums, but she especially loves the hands-on, physical act of working the needles into fabric. A love of nature has shaped her art since childhood, and it carried into her career as well: she owned and operated a landscape design company in Pennsylvania for 28 years, a job that let her blend her passions for plants, design, photography, and the outdoors. Beyond felting, her work includes watercolor and acrylic painting, hand-carved custom Santas, and botanical candles, to name a few. Stop by the atrium to see the show and know that a portion of all sales directly benefit the Bozeman Public Library.
