Embracing the End of Summer: Dive Into Our Library’s Summer Programs!

August blog

This summer, the Bozeman Public Library has been a hub of activity, brimming with stories, creativity, and learning. Whether you’re a book lover, an aspiring artist, or simply looking for a way to keep the kids engaged, our Library is the place to be! If you haven’t had a chance to join the summer fun, don’t worry—there’s still time to dive in before the season wraps up!

Midweek Mindfulness: Join certified instructor Turi Hetherington on Wednesdays at 5PM through August for Midweek Mindfulness. This program offers a wonderful chance to engage in mindfulness practices followed by an exploration of the Labyrinth, located just south of the Library. Designed for participants of all experience levels, this session is perfect for everyone from beginners to seasoned practitioners seeking peace and mindfulness.

Wednesday Walks: Join esteemed wildlife expert Ken Sinay for an engaging series of evening walks Wednesdays through August 14. These weekly excursions offer a unique opportunity to explore local trails while gaining insights from Ken and occasional guest speakers. The walks are open to all and provide a relaxed 3-mile round trip, lasting about 50 minutes. Participants will gather at the Library Front plaza, with the group setting off promptly at 5:30 PM. This summer series provides an excellent chance to connect with nature, learn from local experts, and enjoy the beauty of the area’s trails in good company!

Bubblepalooza: Experience the joy of bubbles at our end-of-summer Bubblepalooza on Friday, August 9 from noon-2PM. This enchanting event invites children from birth to age 11 and their caregivers to immerse themselves in a world of bubbles—both big and small. Participants can create their own bubbles, engage in bubble art, and dance amidst streams of shimmering bubbles that float through the air. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the end of summer while enjoying a fun-filled day with family and friends. This festival is offered in partnership with Tinworks Art, ensuring a creative and engaging experience for all attendees.

While we bid farewell to summer, we’re also excited about the upcoming fall season. Stay tuned for announcements about our autumn programs, including seasonal programs, craft workshops, and cultural events. At Bozeman Public Library, every season is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. Here’s to a memorable end to summer and the start of new adventures!
